Policies and Information
WTFMG reserves the right to refuse service at any time with any situation.
Appointment times:An appointment time is truly an estimated arrival time with an hour window, as a mobile service our schedule is subject to interruptions, delays due to Houston traffic and unpredictable pets taking longer than expected etc. WTFMG will let you know via text or call that we will be more than 1 hour late.
Payment Info:Payment is due at time of service. WTFMG accepts cash or card. No further service will be provided until fee is paid. WTFMG DOES NOT OFFER CASH BACK.
Current vaccinations & veterinarian information:all pets must be up to date on Rabies, any other vaccinations are recommended. Puppies and kittens must have Rabies vaccination prior to their first groom (12-16weeks) Leptospirosis and Bordetella are recommended but not required. Proof of vaccinations will be required, you can email WTFMG at WhatthefluffMG@gmail.com or text a picture of vaccinations or WTFMG can call your veterinarian for vaccinations. WE SANITIZE HEAVILY BEFORE AND AFTER EACH GROOM
Confirmations, no shows, and cancellations:WTFMG will email, text or call to confirm each appointment 48 hours prior to clients appointment, if client does not confirm appointment within 24 hours WTFMG will cancel the appointment and will not show up. In the event a client is not there at the appointment time WTFMG will wait 15 minutes while knocking, calling and texting the client, after that there will be a 55$ Gas and appointment fee, Fee must be paid to book again. Cancellations must be 24 hours before appointment time, if the client cancels the day of their appointment they are subject to a 25$ fee/invoice to book again.
Cats:WTFMG does groom cats! however, cats are unpredictable. All cats good or bad will be muzzled with a cat muzzle and wear a happy hoodie(ear protectant) during the bath and blow-dry. In the event your cat bites the groomer, our groomer is required to stop the groom immediately and go to the nearest ER to be examined and potentially get antibiotics - puncture wounds from a cat bite have a high risk of infection, as well as severe cat scratches which can lead to cat scratch fever.
Small animals (Rabbits, Ferrets, and Guinea pigs):Rabbits and Guinea pigs are exempt from the rabies vaccination, Ferrets are not - Rabies vaccination is required for ferrets.-WTFMG does not bathe rabbits with water, only dry baths with a foam/spray shampoo are offered. -WTMG does not offer "anti parasite" shampoo baths, Guinea pigs should only be bathed 1-3 times a year.Any grooming on rabbits is always the "best we can do". Since rabbits can get stressed very easily.
Ungroomable pets:In the event your pet is not able to be groomed safely for any reason, WTFMG will charge 55$ fee for gas and appointment time. If half of the groom is done, full price is expected to be paid.
Double coated breeds:Ex. Huskies, German shepherds, Akita's, Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dogs etc. Will not be shaved down by WTFMG, unless its medically directed by a veterinarian or severely matted/impacted. Shaving a double coated breed could result in hair loss, and overheating.
Pre-existing conditions:Occasionally pre-existing conditions can arise due to the grooming service, such as allergies, skin allergies, shampoo allergies, skin sensitivities, fleas, bone or joint pain, heart conditions, and but not limited to seizures. It is required that you the owner inform WTFMG of any problems and/or conditions prior to your appointment. WTFMG may require a release from your veterinarian depending on the condition.
Senior pets or special needs pets:pets over 7 years old are considered senior pets, we ask that you let us know any pre-existing conditions. Sometimes senior or special needs pets take longer; you may be subjected to a 20$ additional fee if your pet requires more attention and slower movement. WTFMG may request a doctor's release to groom your pet, Please let WTFMG know about your senior or special needs pet prior to booking appointments.
I hereby release WTFMG from any liability that may stem from pets age or special needs.
Aggressive pets:WTFMG understands every pet needs to be groomed, and does not discriminate against breeds. In the event your pet shows aggression we will use a muzzle to protect our groomer and pet. Your pets aggression may result in an additional 20$ charge due to taking more time and techniques to be groomed or may result to stop grooming and have a 55$ time and gas fee. All bites will be reported to the local authorities as required by law.
Sedated dogs:WTFMG will not groom dogs sedated by injection. WTFMG will only groom orally sedated dogs, with a Veterinarian release. We understand nervous pets still need to be groomed and may need to be medicated to be groomed safely. Please let WTFMG know if your pet will need to be orally medicated prior to booking an appointment, so we can book an appointment for appropriate timing. WTFMG is not responsible for any side effects resulting from medication. If pet is unable to be groomed after being medicated, client will be charged a 55$ fee for gas and appointment time
I hereby release WTFMG from any liability that may stem from pets being orally sedated/medicated.
Accidents while grooming:Be aware that WTFMG uses sharp blades and scissors when cutting hair, we strive to provide a safe environment, but sometimes Injuries and accidents do occur because pets can move unpredictably - in the event of an accident resulting in a cut, scrape, razor burn, puncture wound, or injury caused by the grooming process WTFMG will pay any Veterinarian expenses or medical treatment. Irritation/allergic reaction from/to shampoo or products which is again unpredictable - as a result from the grooming process or damages to grooming trailer by pet will be at the owner's expense.
I hereby agree to not hold WTFMG liable for any injury or irritation and will pay any expenses of damages to the trailer done by pet.
Matted pets and impacted undercoat:It is the owners responsibility to maintain and brush pets' coats between grooming appointments. In the event your pet is severely matted or has an impacted undercoat WTFMG will shave down the pet and will not attempt to de-matt. If a client declines shave down the client will be charged a 55$ gas fee and will not be able to book with WTFMG in the future. If a client is unhappy with the groom after having to be shaved due to matting or impacted undercoat they will not receive a refund. Any veterinarian bill will be the owners responsibility due to owner neglect. Shaving down matting may result in skin irratation and razor burn.. Shaving down matting will result in an additional fee which is determined by the groomer. In the event your Pets matted/impacted coat cannot be shaved down safely, WTFMG will stop and recommend a veterinarian to shave your pet.
I hereby release WTFMG from any liability that may arise from nicks, cuts, razor burn, or any issue directly resulting from shaving matted hair or impacted undercoat.
Pregnant pets or Pets in heat:WTFMG will service Pregnant pets but may change the process of grooming to not stress out pet, by not bathing/blow drying and using foam shampoo depending on pets temperament. The price of a bath or groom will not change. WTFMG will groom pet's in heat, an additional 20$ will be applied for proper clean up of fluids in the trailer.
Fleas, Ticks, Parasites etc.WTFMG strives to keep a sanitary area, in the event your pet has fleas, Ticks or Parasites you will be charged an additional 75$ for proper removal and area clean up OR a 15$ mandatory flea bath (depending on how severe the fleas are - a flea bath is not a flea preventative) To keep the area sanitary for other pets. WTFMG encourages you to keep your pet(s) on a monthly flea and tick preventative, and regular veterinarian wellness exams. WTFMG does not sell flea and tick preventative and will not administer preventatives.
Anal gland expression:WTFMG only offers external anal gland expression and will not forcibly express glands. if expression causes any pain or pet is showing discomfort we will not continue to express glands. This service is not included in your pets bath or groom, you must request gland expression and an additional 15$ will be applied to your pets bill. If your dog is scooting or still showing signs of needed gland expression after grooming - There will be no refund due to WTFMG being transparent. WTFMG will not express cat anal glands.
Ear hair removal:Sometimes plucking the ear hair will aggravate a pre-existing ear condition or cause head shaking, hematomas amongst other ear problems. If the pet is showing discomfort due to plucking WTFMG will stop immediately and recommend a veterinarian to pluck ears. WTFMG is not responsible for any redness, irritation, or abrasions caused from plucking. This service is only available upon request for an additional 15$. WTFMG will not give refunds after ear hair plucking due to being transparent.
Photos and Videos:WTFMG loves showing off our clients and our work for everyone to see, any and all pictures and videos before and after grooming may be used on all WTFMG's social media.
I hereby grant permission to WTFMG to use my pet's name and picture for promotions, advertising and release WTFMG from any liability
Wounds, Stitches etc:Pet's with obvious open wounds and stitches will not be groomed to minimize risk of infection, failure to tell WTFMG after booking appointment will result in a 55$ fee with no service.
Inclement Weather:In the event of severe weather all appointments will be rescheduled.
Locked door policy:For the safety of your pet and our groomer the trailer door will be locked for the entire groom. For the safety of the pet WTFMG asks to not be disturbed, disturbing the grooming process could result in injury.
I hereby release What the Fluff Mobile Grooming LLC from any responsibility of accidents, parasites, medical problems or other problems that may be discovered from the grooming process. I don't hold What the Fluff Mobile Grooming accountable for any damage, loss, or claim from any condition of the pet either known or unknown.
WTFMG asks for you to wait at your door and let our groomer come to you and that you have your Pet on a leash or in a carrier, to minimize the risk of your pet fleeing. Please give the groomer 10 minutes after they have arrived to set up before getting your pet.
